The 1842 to 1848 directories list the Blue Last at 7 Great Distaff lane; whilst the 1851 census lists an unnamed public house at 8 Great Distaff lane. This lane disappears, and is completely renamed by 1854 to Cannon street west. The Golden Last lives on, whereas the Blue Last does not. There is also the King & Queen at 3 Great Distaff lane, but this is in yet another parish!
