At 1 & 2 Harcourt place, York road in the 1871 census; The address is 21 York Road in 1901 and earlier, prior to street renaming. * Over the years the street has been named Macclesfield Street, then York Road and now 21 Dingley Road by 1910. The pub has been closed for many years, with the premises in commercial use - but it is now empty and derelict. ** Recently (2018) converted to residential use with the beautiful Whitbread fascia fully restored. ***
