According to the Chenies
Historical Society web #25 before 17.05.1877 and #23 after 12.06.1877
and is now Ridgemount Gardens.
In the 1871 census James WHITTOME occupation Victualler and his wife
Elizabeth (nee BAXTER) were at The Goat with their four children. He was my
1 cousin 4 times removed. The two youngest children were born at #25 in 1869
and 1871.
Elizabeth died in February 1873 and by that time they were at "The
Catherine Wheel" in Kensington. I have documented proof (B.M.D.
certificates census, information passed years ago to me by old family
members of all this) I am a member of G.O..O.N.S. and WHITTOME is my
one-name study. Of the four children one went to S. Africa, one to Canada
and child of third to U.S.A. ***
