Flask, 21 Ebury Square, Pimlico, St George Hanover Square SW1

St George Hanover Square pub history a href="index.shtml">index

The earliest record found so far is in 1765 when th St Lukes Lodge have a meeting here, then in 1791 when the Flask is insured with the Sun Fire Office by Thomas Ball. The early records for the Flask list the address as at Flask lane until at least 1825 when a Thomas Brown is the victualler, and also a paid up member of the Licensed Victuallers Association. The Thomas William Brown still in situ here by 1895 is clearly a descendant, probably his son, as this Thomas is born around 1822. The address by 1833 is at 9 Ebury square, which later alters to 21 Ebury square through street renumbering some time after 1851.

By 1898, the directory for Ebury square suggests this is now the site of the Ebury buildings, an Improved Industrial dwelling.
