In the 18th century, from at least 1720, there was a pub in this street called the Bell Inn. The Bell Inn was depicted by Hogarth in a pair of 1732 engravings called The Harlots Progress. Now demolished. **
This address is not listed in 1854. By 1858, both the Bell Inn and the Izaak Walton are enveloped into one large wholesale straw hat makers at 84 to 88 Wood street.
