The Men's outing to Margate in August 1947 includes two members of my family. My Grandfather, George Edward Ewbank, born 17 May 1901, was a drayman for Truman's Brewery in Brick lane. He married my grandmother in June 1921 and they lived at 31 Hanbury street, Spitalfields. Rosalie was a gret cook and 31 Hanbury street was the lunchtime cafe for the workers at Trumans. She later became a very well known barmaid at the George Inn, Southwark. *+

George Edward Ewbank is in the second row on the left, with his hand on the shoulder of the man in the front row, with a hat on.

In the top row, on the far right, is my uncle, George Arthur Ewbank, born 11 September 1927.
