During 1888, at least, the proprietor of this pub was Mr Fiddymont - reference - any book on Jack the Ripper. A Jack the Ripper suspect was apparently served by Mrs Fiddymont at 7 am on the 8th Sept 1888. He was followed by another customer but lost in nearby Halfmoon Street. *
