In 1856 & 1869 at 63 Brick Lane; At 140 Brick Lane by 1891 due to road renumbering ; This pub survived until at least 1962 but was demolished soon after to accommodate an expansion of the Truman’s Brewery.
The brewery itself was called the Black Eagle Brewery and its magazine the Black Eagle Journal. **
