Alfreds Head, 15 Brushfield Street, Spitalfields E1

Spitalfields index

The address was formerly given as 38 Union Street and I have seen older records where the pub is called the Alfred’s Arms. It is also listed as the Alfred's Head Old Artillery Ground in the 1868 license transfer. This pub was present by 1791 and survived until at least 1944 but is now demolished. ** Probably open until at least 1963.
