I believe that the little boy in the photo is Graeme Duckworth, holding the hand of my father, William Duckworth, who was the pub's tenant from 1964 to 1968.

My father, William Duckworth, was the tenant, tied to the landlord brewer, Watneys (can't remember which incarnation of the company). We moved there when I was three years old, leaving when I was seven for my father to take over the Southdown hotel/pub in Northcourt Road, Worthing, West Sussex ***
