At the Session House, Clerkenwell, the Compensation authority dealt with licenses referred for Compensation from the Kensington, Newington, Paddington, St James and St Margarets divisions.
The Prince and Princess, Gravel lane, Christchurch, the tenant William George Illingworth, the freeholder, and the lessee, Messrs Phillips Brewery Company agreed that the aggregrate amount of the Compensation should be £4,987 to be shared as follows :
the tenant, £120; the freeholder, £1,067; and the lessees £3800.
