My Great grandfather (George Blakeley) ran the Flying Horse in the early 1900's, he is in the 1903 and 1904 telephone directory. He also ran the Builders Arms, 140, St Pauls Road, Canonbury - and also a pub called the Mitre, but I don't know where that was. He moved out to the White Lion in Hatfield in 1912 because of ill health!

George was born in 1867, so that may pin-point his Landlord activities. I presume he couldn't run them until he was at least 21, so these pubs were run by him between 1888 and 1912. I know he moved around a lot and was a colourful character! ***
