Address formerly at 62 Lower Shadwell in 1851, and then 43a Lower Shadwell in 1856 and 1869. This pub is now demolished. ** The Half Moon has a rather complicated history as there are pubs with this name at three different locations on the same street (presumably the licence was transferred between them, as John Frogley is at number 62 in 1851 and at number 43a in 1856). However, at two of these locations there were pre-existing pubs or beer houses. There was a beer house at 15 Lower Shadwell prior to the Half Moon, while the location at 43a Lower Shadwell appears to be on the same site as the Swan (there until at least 1851). *
