Surrey Docks Tavern, 163 Rotherhithe Street, Rotherhithe, Surrey

This is called the Waterman's Arms in 1856 and earlier, also at Kings Mills Wharf (but numbered as 289 Rotherhithe Street in the 1841 Directory, not to be confused with the pub of the same name, WatermansArms). In 1869 at King's Mills Wharf, Rotherhithe Street. At the same address, and obviously rebuilt, went through a time as the Spice Island, and currently the Old Salt Quay. The name is usually given in the singular in Post Office directories as the Surrey Dock Tavern. The modern location of the Spice Island pub is located about 75 metres to the east of the Surrey Dock Tavern pub site. * The 1923 electoral register lists the address at 1 Redriff road.
