Morning Advertiser 22 March 1852 - Aplications for New Licenses. :
Crystal Tavern, Rotherhithe New road. Charles Galpin applied for this licence, and stated in his petition that this house was near St Helena gardens, and that in this new neighbourhood many new houses had been built, and new houses had been formed. In support, it was stated that upwards on one hundred new houses had been built, and that the formation of the intended new road would destroy several licensed houses - licence granted.
