My grandfather, William Newport was at the Euston Road Tavern (1891), the King of Prussia, Union Street, Southwark (1899 - 1910); the Sennocke Hotel, Sevenoaks (circa 1913); here until possibly up until 1922. He was then at the Lion Hotel, Chipping Ongar by 1925. His brother, James Newport ran The Star, 38 St Johns Wood 1899/1910.  *
