At 3 & 5 Anerley Road in the 1881 census; The pub was badly damaged by a V2 in 1944 and never reopened. It was the same attack that destroyed the Brunswick Hotel and devastated the Paxton Arms on the same road. The derelict building was eventually demolished in the mid 1950s. *
