Offer for Sale, by Public Auction at Garraways, the Lease and Possession of that excellent modern brick-built Public House, known as the Westbourne Tavern, Westbourne Park Villas, near the Great Westbourne road, Paddington, adjoining the workshops and wharves of the Great Western Railway Company, where several hundred of workmen are constantly employed; the property is in the best state of repair, containing cheerful bedrooms, with every convenience for trade purposes, situate in a large, improving and respectable neighbourhood, likely to be greatly extended, the vacant adjacent ground being now in full building operations, and presents a rare opportunity to a man of business desirous of obtaining a house in superior commanding situation, combined with a healthy locality, with every prospect of an improvement upon the already lucrative business; the premises are held on an unexpired lease for a term of forty five years, at the moderate rent of 70 pounds per year, and now submitted for sale solely on account of the bodily affliction of the present tenant.

Highly respectable Wine and Spirit Establishment, Westbourne Park Villas, Paddington.
To sell at Garraways Coffee house, Change alley, Cornhill, on Tuesday, October 4 1870, the valuable LEASE for a term of 33 years of the Westbourne Tavern, Westbourne Park Villas, Paddington, commandingly situate at the junction of several roads, and directly adjoining the Great Western Railway extensive repairing works, coal depot, and stone wharf. The position of the property is a very desirable one, having the railway works, the large and respectable neighbourhood, and the passing traffic to support it; the latter will be much augmnted by a contemplated re-arrangement of the Westbourne park section on the Metropolitan Railway, and the creation of an additional station near to this property, giving an assurance that the present large, respectable and full priced trade will be shortly much increased. The present trade is large, and done at full prices. The payment for malt liquors exceed £100 per month.

Edward Lampton, aged 19, a barman, was placed in the dock charged with stealing a quantity of whisky, the property of his master, Mr George John Spine, the proprietor of the Westbourne Tavern, Westbourne Park.
The proprietor had been at the house for five months. The prisoner pleaded guilty.
