My father was Gordon Douglas and mother Ann Fleming, both from Scotland. I believe that they worked in the Durham Castle in the mid 1950’s possibly before returning to Scotland in 1956. Attached is a photo of them outside of the pub. They had some interesting stories about the clientele and their notoriety, though I can’t recall any names mentioned or say for sure if their stories were embellished or true.
