The 1809 directory and the 1849 and 1866 license transfers refer to the Red Lion, Hunt street. The address is listed as the Red Lion at 34 Spicer Street in 1884 and earlier, prior to street renaming. The pub appears to have been renamed the Old Red Lion when the street was renamed, and address changes to 22 Buxton Street. *
