For at least 27 years up to his death in December 2011, my grandfather
Richard Henry Lewis was the licensee of the Maid and Magpie, 237-239 Oxford
Street, Stepney, Middlesex. Eighteen Months after his death my grandmother
remarried and gave her profession as a licensed victualler of the same
address. Her married name was now Rachel Hanlon, can anyone tell me how long
she held the licensed and who was the owner of the Public House . ***
