[Thomas Challis married to Euphemia Holt, a niece of Farningham, Kent, Sharp family who c1781 built the Bricklayers Arms there and ran it until c1898. Their son Thomas Holt Challis later became the licensee at Brighton’s Greyhound Inn, East Street and the original Georgian-built King and Queen. *]
