Tracing my family history, one particular branch terminates at a pair of sisters Jane and Julia Angell. The last record I have of these two ladies is the 1901 censuses which indicate that they are "beer house keepers" and gives their address as 94 York Road, Lambeth.
In 1871, they are at their Fathers Pub, the Mitre, Tonbridge, and by the 1881 census document shows the two sisters at a different pub, 93 Pimlico Road, Westminster. You will note that Julia calls herself "Smith" in this census. It appears she had her son Oswald outside of marriage. ***
