Sun, 33 Effra Parade, Brixton SW2

Lambeth pub history index

Named the Sun by 1944 and also in the 1891 census and the 1906 probate; the 1911 census summary refers to the Manchester Arms beer house, which is clearly an intoxicated error? Interestingly, the 1891census first lists it as the Royal Oak, which is then crossed out!  The Sun is destroyed by a V Rocket in June 1944
