This New Street ran between Princes Street (slightly inland) and Fore Street (along the riverside), all of which was swept away for the construction of Albert Embankment in the mid-1860s. It was located opposite (and slightly to the south) of where modern Tinworth Street intersects with Albert Embankment. *
