Duchy of Cornwall, 74 Cornwall Road, Lambeth SE1

Lambeth pub history index

Not to be confused with the Cornwall Arms at 76 Cornwall Road. This is at 74 & 75 Cornwall Road by the 1891 Directory, though it's listed as both street numbers in some earlier census records and is at 75 Cornwall Road in 1843, so may always have taken up both properties. An Allied Breweries archive record held at the London Metropolitan Archives refers to a "Duchy of Cornwall Inn formerly called the Duke of Clarence public house", but it is named as the Duchy of Cornwall in the 1871/1881/1891 census returns and the 1843 Directory record refers to the Duchess of Cornwall. *

A listing of historical London public houses, Taverns, Inns, Beer Houses and Hotels in the Lambeth parish, Surrey, London. This includes Kennington, Brixton, Lambeth, Norwood, Peckham & Waterloo Road.
