Lambeth pub history index
In 1856, the listing is at 1 Broad Street, which is also probably correct. Road numbering was not always an act of science.

My ancestor, Anthony Bavridge, was running the
Canterbury Arms
in Sumner Road Croydon in the 1871 census. In 1861 he had been a beer
retailer in Lambeth - the address is 81 Broad Street, probably on the corner
of New Street, but I don't have a name for the pub. ***
His son George F Bavridge is recorded as a beer retailer in 1891. He
is living at 1 Grove Terrace, Handcroft Road, though the next properties are
60 & 61 Handcroft Road. It's unclear if this is the address of his pub. By
1901 he is at 121 Handcroft Road.
