In c1900, looking east along the Kensington High Street. The pub is on the end of the row of buildings named Newland Place. It ceased trading in 1910 and became a Lyons Corner House.

In 1965. The building lost its upper floors during WW2 but continued as a branch of Lyons with a temporary roof covering the damage.
