I have attached the early censuses when Elizabeth Turner was living here and running it. It was built at the same time as the tide mill, and the pilot was William Pitt! She was a waterman's widow; and in 1841 next door, but one, one way was her daughter and family; and next door but one on the other side is her brother in law's - where the two nieces in 1851 came from. *
