In the 1770-1780 Masonic Lodges listing, the Golden Anchor, Ballast Quay, East Greenwich is the meeting place of a masonic Lodge, and apparently constituted on the September 11th 1723

At 7 Anchor wharf, Greenwich in the 1852 directory. Listed at Millingtons Wharf in the 1871 census. At Bennett Street by 1891. This pub is long demolished, although remembered in the name of Golden Anchor Stairs which lead down to the Thames at the site. **
The pub stood facing the river on the corner of Hoskins Street. It was compulsorily purchased by the LCC (London County Council) in 1902, and was demolished during the building of Greenwich power station. ***
