Greenwich Index
Named in the 1911 census, listed in Greenwich. The address is at 60a King Street (or 60 King Street) in the 1896 directory and earlier, prior to street renaming. The 1891 census return records the new address of 15 Sparta Street in the margin, so the street must have been renamed around this time. It appears in the Lewisham rather than Greenwich returns in 1891 and earlier. * The pub was badly damaged in an air raid 12.7.1944, it never reopened. It would have stood in the centre of the current Copperwood Place. **
City Arms, Sparta Street, at the corner of Merton Street. Landlord is John Ottey in 1910
