This is named the Black Boy in 1841 and earlier. * At 16 Church Street in 1871 census, and at 21 Church Street before 1891, listed as at the corner of
Thames Street in 1891 census. Closed in 1905 as a pub through the compensation award scheme.
The former British Queen, Church Street, Greenwich was at the corner of Thames Street in 1930.
The pub was demolished circa 1933 during the building of the Meridian Estate.
This end of Thames Street was widened and is now called Welland Street. **
