In researching my "Barton" family; I have found my great grandfather, Richard Fisher Barton,  at the Royal Standard, 4 James Place, Tanners Hill in 1861; and a William Barton whom I think was a great great uncle at the Royal Standard, Tanners Hill pub in 1858. I have also learned that Richard Fisher Barton died at the "Walmer Castle" Lewisham, and also lived at the "Crown and Sceptre", Deptford. *

I also found information on "The Bowyer Arms" Clapham, where my grandfather, John Albert Barton, was publican and my father and his seven brothers and sisters were born. *
