Woolwich Gazette 28 August 1880
Mention made of the Mitre, and the Rose and Crown, both of the houses would be pulled down for the Deptford Bridge improvement. At present both were standing, and business going on, but certain plans would be submitted for rebuilding, and suggested that the renewal of the licenses shopuld stand over to the adjourned day. The Feathers had been pulled down, and the license extinguished.
The Bench declared the retention of one license out of the three sufficient, and asked whether the Mitre should also be abolished?
