This pub is now called Jay Cubed. (2007) ** Reopened as the Three Johns in 2014 having previously been known as a branch of Hobgoblin (c. 2008), and the Fallen Angel (2012). *** In old Sun Fire Office insurance records, the name of the pub is given as the Hope in 1792, and as the "Three Johns (late called the Hope)" in 1794, suggesting it was renamed around this year. *
