Benefit to Jesse Hatton
The postponed benefit for this well known sportsman took place last Thursday evening, at Mr Bill Wards, the Goldsmiths Arms, Little Sutton street, Clerkenwell, but we are sorry to state proved a failure.
About forty visitors assembled in the saloon, and it was not until late in the evening that the first couple set to, viz, Young Webb and George, who "pasted" each other right merrily. Denny Cronin and Welch followed.
