I have been researching William Hersey, whose name turns up in connection with various pubs. From 1814 to at least 1825 he was landlord of the Golden Anchor at 221 St John Street, Clerkenwell. ***

In September 1831, William Hersey is listed in Perrys Bankrupt listing for the Golden Anchor, St. John street, Clerkenwell.
By 1831 William HERSEY had became the proprietor of the Three Tuns at Cripplegate. William HERSEY later became the landlord of the Blue Pig in St Mary Axe. He died in 1839 leaving a will stating that his home and business was the Blue Pig. ***
