At 24 St John Street in 1851 and earlier - now renumbered; It was rebuilt in its current form in 1901, and now (in 2007) trades under the name The Well. ** The address is 24 St John Street in 1856 and earlier, prior to street renumbering. * The 1854 license transfer lists this as the George, Compton Street which is at the junction with St John Street. Rebuilt in 1901 as an H. H. Finch outlet. Rebranded as part of the Simmons bar chain in mid-2017. ***
