Clerkenwell pub history index
Although not named in any census returns, by the 1881 census this has become a "coffee palace", and as such it is named as the Admiral Napier in the 1882 Post Office directory. This may therefore have been its name when it was a beer house earlier in its existence. The street is now called Chapel Market. *
