Clapham pub history index
The street is renumbered between 1900 and 1901 from 68 Wirtemberg Street to 116 Wirtemberg Street; at the junction with Belmont road. Wirtemberg Street is renamed Stonhouse Street in March 1919.
Due to street restructuring, this former Wenlock Brewery's pub's address became 1 Belmont Close. Closed around 2008 and converted to residential use. *
The Crown & Anchor, 116 Stonhouse Street, Clapham SW4 is always referred by the locals, as the "little house" indeed many people still nostalgically do. ***
