My grandfather was owner of the Royal Oak in Lyham road, Brixton (demolished
2008). He was from Monaghan, Ireland and my Dad was born in the pub as far
as I know. My Dad is dead 27 years and I never knew my Grandfather but we
were often told about the pub in London. There is also a picture in the lost
pubs of London site showing it's demolition. ***
