The earliest address is at Turks Row, 37 Lower Sloane Street; and by 1869 at 1 Turks Row & 1 & 2 White Lion Street. Later address is 90 & 92 Lower Sloane street by 1891, and 95 Lower Sloane street by 1915.
In the circa 1905 photo of Lower Sloane street with the Rose & Crown at number 90 on the corner of Turks Row. At the far end of the street on the left is the Coach & Horses, between c1915 and 1921, Henry Guest was landlord of both pubs at the same time. *
The Rose & Crown was rebuilt in 1934 at the foot of a block of flats, Gywnn House. It narrowly avoided destruction when a V1 rocket exploded in Sloane Court East on 3rd July 1944, killing at least 66 US servicemen and 9 civilians. All the buildings around the pub were destroyed. *
