Chelsea Pub history index
The address in the 1851 census appears to be 60 Chelsea mews, but I think this more likely as the 1856 directory is at 60 Lower George street. The 1848 directory names this as the Crown and Anchor, prior to becoming a beer house. Around 1886, Lower George street closes, and parts of the upper end are incorporated into Sloane gardens
Historical London public houses, Taverns, Inns, Beer Houses and Hotels.
