I have found Albert Free (b.1862) on the 1901 census with his wife Celia and
two of their sons, Alred Sidney and Herbert V with the address of 144-146
Grundy Street, The Prince of Wales Tavern. The exact date of birth for
Alfred Free, Albert's son, in Argentina by finding his death reference on
the Genes Reunited Death index, it's 30th June 1890 but I haven't worked out
how to go about finding them in Argentina yet.
I've also got information that Albert ran "The Two Brewers", Bow, London,
date unknown;
"The Farrier's Arms" off licence, Stratford, again date unknown;
"The Princess of Wales" which I have confirmed the address on the 1901
census;
"The British Admiral", East India Dock Street, in 1907, unconfirmed;
"The Telegraph"
Leyton Road, Stratford, on the 1911 census and on your site again in 1912;
and "The Live and Let
Live" in Romford Road. dates are confirmed on your site and with
Alfred's wife putting the address as informant on Alfred's father's death
certificate.
Alfred married twice, his first wife, Celia was living with him at the
Princess of Wales in 1901, his second wife, Louisa was at The Telegraph with
him in 1911 and at 264 Romford Road on the father's death certificate on 3rd
May 1913. Mrs Louisa Free appears again at the "George the Fourth" in 1915.

We lived here in 1961 to 1963, and the picture of the drayman delivering to
the Princess of Wales was from my first ever camera. There were a number of
London pubs I grew up in. These included the Royal Small Arms Tavern,
Enfield Lock; The March Hare, Stevenage; The Coningham arms, Shepherds Bush;
The Pitts Head, Canning Town The Red House, Harold Hill. My dad only worked
for Charringtons or Manns if I remember correctly. My brother and dad
managed many other pubs after I left home. **
