The Publican in the 1893, 1895, 1896 directories should read Raffaelle CRITCHFIELD. He was my great grandfather.  As a matter of interest Raffaelle died in 1896 aged 34 and his widow married Henry Rattenbury, subsequent landlord. Marcus Critchfield was Raffaelle�s brother. *
