In 1865, my great grandfather, Robert Higgins and his wife, Carolyn (nee Price) were the proprietors of the Gossett Arms pub in Bethnal Green - My grandmother, who obviously did not like her mother in law said that Caroline drank all the profits from the pub. They ran the pub even though they were both totally illiterate. I believe that they took over from a man named Coe. ***
