Falcon, 67 Blythe Street, Bethnal Green E2

Bethnal Green pub history index

Existed from at least 1834. The Falcon, Abbey place in the 1851, 1854. 1860 and 1867 license transfers.  From 1884 until 1910 the address is just Old Bethnal Green Road. It is listed as 1 Essex Street in 1869 and 1856, an earlier name for Blythe Street. It was at 63 Blythe Street in 1882, an address just to the south of the intersection with Old Bethnal Green Road (and clearly marked as such on the 1870s Ordnance Survey map), so was presumably rebuilt between 1881 and 1884, by which time the address is listed as Old Bethnal Green Road, later 67 Blythe Street. *
