17 Fashion Street in 1839 and earlier, and has also been listed as Dockhead
and as St Saviours Dock in older insurance records. The name Ship & Camel
is the earliest name given in the records, but has become Dockhead Tavern by
1856, Dockhead Stores in 1895, the Ship and Camel again by 1899, and then
