Baptist Head, 50 Bermondsey Street, Bermondsey

Bermondsey pub history index

This is the early address before 1910. Bermondsey Street gets renumbered quite a few times. The address is at 50 Bermondsey Street until about 1851, then 32 Bermondsey Street in 1856 and 1862. By 1869 probably under Henry Street & Crucifix Lane. NB; this should be in Southwark St John Horselydown, as the Victuallers Recognizance of 1825 is in that parish, as is the census record; the Southwark-Bermondsey boundary ran west-east along Crucifix Lane and Snowsfields opposite and this pub was on the north side of Crucifix Lane *
