Railway Tavern in the 1881 census. The Railway Hotel, 137 High street, Battersea stood on the corner of Simpson Street by Battersea Station. Both the station and the pub were destroyed by incendiary bombs during an air raid on 20.10.1940. Neither was reopened. *
